Interactive art installations
The installations “Good Boy” and “Crank of Forgiveness” were realised for the Berlin-based artist Sven Windszus.
“Good Boy” links real and digital artifacts with augmented reality. With our bare eyes we see a gold-plated dog skeleton on a pedestal. Next to it is another platform, inscribed with the words from Isaac Asimov’s “Three Laws of Robotics”. The digital layer on the tablet reveals a dog servant, willing to execute commands that we speak. It listens to instructions such as “UPDATE”, “SHUTDOWN” or “FORMAT C:”.
These works were created in Unity and in TouchDesigner.

“Crank of Forgiveness” is a modernized automaton, digital rather than mechanical. As the crank turns it moves and plays organ music. Inside the repurposed confessional box a screen reveals tiny figurines, mesmerized by their own social media feeds rather than absorbed in religious devotion.
